Sample Quote
"The 10 a.m. up (express) train from Ramsgate Harbour to Victoria was travelling on a straight and level piece of track, when the rear brake-van left the rails, and shortly afterwards turned on its side. The driver, noticing an unusual drag upon the engine, stopped the train with the continuous brake. No other vehicles left the rails. There were a large number of passengers travelling, but three only complained of having been shaken or bruised. The rear guard was violently thrown down in the overturned van, but fortunately escaped any serious injury."
