Our accident dataset is a work in progress. Data is added to it as it becomes available from official accident reports and other trusted sources. The charts below give an overview of the current dataset.

1. Early years accidents and fatalities are significantly under-reported.
2. Apparent rise in accidents since 1997 is due to the Railways Archive recording all accidents, including minor accidents not subject to formal investigation.
